Hi!

I have a lot of questions about a lot of things, lets find some answers together shall we?

50's Prime Time Café

50's Prime Time Café

You may be thinking by now that we're mainly focusing on restaurants in Walt Disney World, and so far we have been. The reason? It's the most recent place I've been too and I have MANY things to share about the wonderful service.  On that note,  I've decided to create a "Disney" section of our restaurant reviews for travel purposes!

50's Prime Time Café

Step back in time and enter into your aunt and uncles house for a little lunch. The ambience  is the first thing you'll notice upon entering this fantastic restaurant. Located in Disney's Hollywood Studious, this cafe is set in the early 50's home of your favorite relative. Prepare to be served by your sassy cousin, have your food prepared by your lovely aunt and drink from dad's liquor cabinet.

Since I made a reservation online I was able to communicate my food allergies before I even stepped into the restaurant. When we were being seated I reiterated my allergies to my server and to my surprise he stated "Yea your mom told us when she dropped you kids off, I'll have mom come talk to you about lunch"  At first I was shocked, that they could stay in character with such a serious matter, but two seconds later my "aunt" came and sat down with me. She was the head chef in the kitchen, and proceeded to speak with my about the whole menu. After I choose my dinner (moms fried chicken) she assured my they had no nuts in the kitchen and that the meal would be completely safe. As she walked away from our table she turned back to say "If you don't finish your vegetables, you won't get dessert."

My server came by with our drinks and reassured me that he had checked to make sure everything was alright with our meals. When they did arrive, my "Aunt" personally brought mine to make sure everything was alright it is. She came back a few mights later to make sure everything was alright.

Over all, I felt very comfortable at the 50's café, my server and chef were incredibly knowledgable  about food allergies and protocol. The atmosphere was not only interesting and exciting, but very clean and well maintained.  My anxiety can sometimes get the best of me but the show they put on, my surroundings, and their commitment to my safe meal made me push those negative thoughts to the back of my mind,

I would suggest this restaurant to anyone! It is a completely immersive atmosphere that will make the young or the young at heart smile from ear to ear. They handled my nut, peanut and shellfish allergy and well as my brothers egg allergy with ease, and were able to offer almost the entire menu with substitutions  to both of us.

Overall I give this place a 10/10 for atmosphere, cleanliness, understanding, and commitment to safety. And keeping their word, because I had to eat my all my green beans before I could have dessert.
